Created to be of natural elegance, The Spa at Chateau Whistler integrates natural light refracted off lead crystal-framed windows and the use of slate, limestone and richly stained wood throughout the reception area and treatment facilities.

The massage and Shiatsu therapists have the highest level of qualifications and training found anywhere in North America. All massage therapists are registered after completing a 2,600-hour course and all Shiatsu therapists are certified after completing a 1,000-hour course. In addition, all therapists are required to fine-tune their skills with post-graduate courses and workshops to help make The Spa at Chateau Whistler one of the finest.

Ayurvedic Treatments
Ayurveda 'the science of life' is a balancing treatment for the body, mind, and spirit. In the Spa, your practitioner will evaluate your body's constitution. Individual needs are addressed with the use of herbs, oils, and massage to help prevent illness, preserve life, and create an overall balanced state.

Ayurveda is the oldest complete healing knowledge in the world, first recorded some 5000 years ago. The Spa at Chateau Whistler prides itself on being one of the few spa's in North America that offer Ayurvedic treatments.

Pindha Sweda
Pindha Sweda is a deeply nourishing and stress relieving treatment that begins with a hot oil massage customized to your body type. Herbs wrapped in muslin cloth, are then soaked in hot oils and applied to the body with long soothing strokes. Your body is then wrapped to allow a deep penetration of the herbal mixture, completing this nourishing treatment.

Shirodhara
Warm herbal oil is poured over the forehead providing nourishment and calming to all senses in the body. The head is then massaged to promote further relaxation. Clients find that this treatment induces a profound and relaxed state of mind and body.

Bindi - Shirodhara
A combination of the Shirodhara and Ayurvedic body massage; the Bindi-Shirodhara incorporates the use of herbal remedies for the purpose of balancing one's mind, body, and spirit.

Swedana Treatment
The Swedana treatment starts with a customized warm essential oil blend that is massaged into your body to promote movement of blood and lymph circulation, as well as mental and physical relaxation.

After the massage, you are placed into a cedar steam cabinet customized with dry herbs and flowers, which are then infused through steam into your body. Hot steam promotes sweating which enhances the elimination of toxins from the body. The treatment is ended by your practitioner dry brushing the entire body to further exfoliate the skin. An incredibly detoxifying and sedating treatment.

Thai Massage: 
One of the worlds oldest healing modalities (2500 years old). Based on Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, Thai massage uses slow, rhythmic pressing into the body while incorporating yoga- like stretches coupled with gentle rocking motions. Hot Stone Therapy
Hot Stone Therapy is described as the deep penetration of heat, by the use of heated stones, Swedish massage, and energy work. Localized heat application has long been recognized for its benefits in increasing circulation leading to relaxation of local tissue and nerves.

Lomi Lomi
An ancient Hawaiian massage system that uses distinctive kneading motions as well as many Swedish massage techniques. Special attention is paid to the lower abdomen (na'au), which according to ancient Hawaiian philosophy, is the center of all emotion and power.
