I drove from Virginia Beach and did not take a credit card. This marred my visit to the hotel. They required a $300 cash deposit for "incidentals", which I didn't mind at all. But what I did mind was that they didn't allow my TV to select movies, etc., because I didn't have a credit card with me. Mine was stolen and the replacement didn't arrive in time for trip, so I had no choice. Would stay here again due to location and beauty on river. Very helpful front door welcome and departure.

Beautiful, elegant, wonderful service and great proximity to the old city. Only negative were all the extra, separate charges. All in all, the nicest hotel we ever stayed at.
