Location: Winnipeg is located at the geographic centre of
North America situated at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers. It is
the capital city of the province of Manitoba.
Manitoba borders the provinces of Ontario to the East, Saskatchewan to the
West, Nunavut to the North, and the U.S. states of Minnesota and North Dakota to
the South. It is Manitoba's only major city and roughly three-quarters of the
province's population lives in or adjacent to Winnipeg.
