We will never stay at another hotel in Las Vegas. The Excalibur will always be a part of the Watkins Family.

The hotel is showing it's age. Some renovations were being done on the casino floor, but the rooms are really in need of a face lift.

Our stay was pretty bad! The first night we woke up to construction at 6 AM, so we changed rooms - to a view room(no extra charge). The bedding had stains of who knows what on it in our new rooms. Although we had a bad experience, the lady at the front desk was very understanding, helpful, and professtional. She addressed our problems promtly and we given a free dinner for 4. There were new problems everyday. We had stayed there previously and it was good, but I won't be staying there again soon.

In Vegas the Strip is usually not -so friendly and Downtown is. We were pleased to find the Excalibur broke that mold. Friendly dealers and barmaids. Buffet was mid priced with a economical food court also. Walkways connected us to New York, New York, Luxor, and MGM. In the future, I will not go anywhere else in Vegas tham to Excalibur. Great family atmosphere, plenty for the young one to do as it is located in the center of everything.

Overall a good experience. We stayed in the Widescreen room which was nice and modern. The dining was convienient but they cut too many corners on food quality and staffing at all 5 places. You have to tackle a cocktail waitress to get a drink even then you may have to follow her. Cigarette smoke was pretty foul. Front desk staff was great and fast. If your walking it is way on the end of the strip which makes for a hike. Probably would not go back because of food, smoke, and cocktails.
